During the pandemic, I partnered with The Hive, a nonprofit organization supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, to create a tangible extension of this world. Alongside Nathan Taulbee and Noah Thomas, we began the first in a series of interactive adventure boxes, beginning with character creation. These boxes weren’t just tools; they were invitations to explore imagination, foster self-expression, and build skills that could open new doors.

There’s a certain romance in the memory of film photography. The anticipation of waiting for a roll of film to develop, the dim red glow of the darkroom, and the scent of developing chemicals are all intertwined with the magic of seeing an image slowly emerge on paper. Each shot was deliberate, each click of the shutter a moment of commitment. My love for this process made me hesitant to embrace digital photography for many years. Film held a tactile nostalgia that digital couldn’t seem to match.

When I first met Annabelle at the tender age of nine, I was immediately struck by her spirit and immense talent. Even then, it was clear she was destined for great things. Fast forward to today, and Annabelle has taken the next step in her journey, releasing her debut EP, Hey There, on Apple iTunes and Spotify.

One of my favorite creative pursuits is the delicate art of crafting photograms. There's something deeply romantic about playing with light in this unique and imaginative way.
